VOLUNTEERING

The volunteer fire service has some very distinct advantages. Volunteers are members of the community that contribute their time and efforts to providing a needed service at a much reduced rate to their community. The greater investment is to training and equipment that is used to provide quality service.

INCENTIVE AND REQUIREMENTS

Active duty volunteers are required to meet some minimum requirements, including a criminal background check. Requirement details are explained in the application materials. Training and costs associated with your time are provided by the fire company. Our municipality has also provided our volunteers with a length of service pension program. The volunteer fire service also provides opportunities for those looking to help in other ways.

HOW TO JOIN

We rely on volunteers to keep us going! Your first step should be to visit the fire station on a meeting night, speak to the members, and see the equipment. Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings (7:00 pm). To join, you must pick up (in person) from, and return a completed membership application to, the Fire Department offices in the Municipal Building at 3515 Bargaintown Road (Egg Harbor Township).

LADIES AUXILIARY

Our fire company maintains a supporting organization, the Ladies Auxiliary. The application process for this entity differs from that above. To join the Ladies Auxiliary, contact the President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Contact information is contained on this website. CLICK HERE for a Ladies' Auxiliary membership application.
